If you can aquire a hard drive, I'm sure most of us older folks, NGT, Asimov, PA or myself could walk you through installing the HDD with little problem. Now buying one is a completely different story.

Is the nether road going to be use to link homes too?

Personal homes can be linked to the netherroad. However, even though Dragon has given people permission to add to the netherroad, I would recommend working with one of the more experienced players or mods to make sure that any portals/signs you add work and that you don't accidently cause Dragon more work when she gets back.

Ok, so far with the laptop, I'm looking for replacement equipment. Rage, I appreciate the offer to help. Asim0v, thank you so much! No clue that was a thing.

Diego: as I stated before, anybody 15 years or older can work on the Netherroad. If you don't meet that requirement, then you should probably ask somebody to help you. (And yes, you can add personal roads to your home. The "path" should be a three block wide and four block tall tunnel.)

I have connected Eureka to the Nether road, I can only hope that it works out this way.

@Thirgil: I'm betting there will be an issue with using jack o lanterns instead of glowstone

@Dragonofhalo: Is it ok to link some of the netherroads? scifi is lower then the roads coming off of spawn, would it be ok to run a road and have it rise up to meet a road coming off of spawn? Could shoot a subroad off the main path and then have that rise/lower down to create the link

Jack o' lanterns are fine with me.
As for the connecting road thing... if you're talking about physically connecting the roads with a staircase, please don't. If you want to have a road with a lift sign connecting to the main road, that's fine. I actually meant to go do that, but, you know, laptop. :P

I also have a replacement computer coming in soon, so I should be able to come back on later.
