Hyrule Caution Notice: For all Hyrule citizens.

Postby ODSTLink » 13 Jul 2013, 20:09

Recently the server has been updated to 1.6.2, and in the 1.6 update to Minecraft, mob spawning has been increased and somewhere along the lines mobs got tougher and more dangerous. Hyrule is currently under construction for roads, lamps, as well as lots (in hopes to add players to the area and decreasing the spawn rate of mobs), until this construction is complete, I advise all visiting persons to Hyrule, as well as its citizens, be armed when traveling at night and armor is recommended. Excersise extreme caution.. unless you want to die. In which case be my guest and stay out there unarmed, there are a lot that spawn at night.

I experienced this as I visited Stonerun while exploring and I had 5 zombies descend on me - luckily I've got a nice sword!

I've had 30 mobs spawn on me and this was before the update. I think some places just spawn more. If I looked I probably have a screen shot some where.

Gotta love dev builds. For the record no changes have been made to any of the configurations to mob spawn rates or limits. I'm always hesitant to start tweaking things when running on the early dev builds as its proven to be better to weather the storm until a beta or recommended build is out. Keep reporting your finds as time goes on if you don't mind.

Hah! No, that's not even close to what I'm talking about. One night when I was working on the roads I ran into like 15 skeletons, 9 zombies, 10 creepers. And then killed them all.. then more came. It's ridiculous. Luckily I had widecool there to distract them while I healed.

Inert, I'm aware that there are issues with mobs around Hyrule due to lack of population and civilization, but I mean in the town, right next to my house, there were like hordes of them. The pictures you posted looks like about 1/3 of them. I'm just trying to point out, that it was a disaster in January, and now it's even worse is all I want to say on the issue. If there's another night like what I'm trying to point out, I'll post pictures of it for you. It seems like it doesn't happen often, but what you have shown me is like every night right now. It's ridiculous.

Sounds like you need... Protection.

In these trying times, it's nice to know there's a safe, friendly place for you to call home. A place with friendly service and a smile. A place with prices that rarely fluctuate, leaving the customer -- Nay, the friend -- secure in the fact that they will be receiving quality products at a reasonable price. A place that is solidly built and able to stand the worst of crisises. A place like... The Stone and Glass Store! Timber's right. You do derail the forum, sort of. Maybe. We'll see.
