Netherroad Update!
Well... we're done. Timber and I have no more destinations to make roads to so... please, send in some more locations! I get bored easy, and now that we're done, we have a surplus of netherbrick. Gotta love how that works out :p.

Now, I realized recently that I never actually mentioned how to "get" to the Netherroad. So, you can either go to the portal in the post office and take the lift down sign for the Netherroad, or you can hit /mvs or /spawn, look for the lift down sign, then take a right in the Netherroad itself to reach the Netherroad Lobby.

Quick touch on how the Netherroad is set up. The main Netherroad Lobby has a central pillar, with a list of destinations for each road. (Organized in North, South, East and West roads.) Any destinations on the middle line of stone brick for a given direction represent "roads" which lead to major cities, towns or projects. Any destinations listed on the outer netherbrick for any direction represent "paths" which go to personal player portals. (Yay for alliteration :P )

Easy way to tell the difference between a road and a path. Roads are 5 blocks wide. Paths are 3 blocks wide. Simple as that.

There are four main roads: North, South, East and West. Roads to destinations branch off from these main roads. You will never see the Netherroad intersect itself in a square. Ever. There is only one way to reach each destination from the the Netherroad Lobby. The lobby is easily reached by doing /mvs, taking the lift down sign, and following the sign prompting to take a right.

I might put in a few shop signs with cheap speed potions, 'cause we all know that ludicrous speed is fun. *Insert plaid jokes here*

Anyway, list of locations:

Southern Netherroad:
Roads:
Southern DOT Hub,
Airfield,
Hyrule.
Paths:
SkyerCorp's portal
DragonofHalo portal

Western Netherroad:
Roads:
Western DOT Hub,
Fairy Tail Castle,
Fort Valkyria,
Seaside Village,
Halo Island
Paths:
Opusnut's Project

Northern Netherroad:
Roads:
Northern DOT Hub,
Nether Spawn
Sheep Port
Paths:
Warriorbox

Eastern Netherroad:
Roads:
Eastern DOT Hub,
Sky5 DOT Hub,
Citadel Portal,
Airfield Tram.
Paths:
N/A

One last thing before I wrap this up:
HUGE thanks to everyone that's helped with this project.
Biggest thanks to Timber for supplying, construction and designing,
thanks to Rob, Freon and Legida for permission to link up the Netherroad to their builds,
and thanks to our donors Ipod, uekitree and SkyerCorp.
You guys have no idea how much this means to me :)

Anyway, the Netherroad is open for use. Any comments, suggestions or destinations, don't hesitate to /pm or /mail me!

End portal... darn it. Now I have to go do that. There should be a road up by the end of the week or so. Probably earlier.

Just one end portal or one each for all 3 of them?

Mm... just one for now. Once I finish some of the other Minecraft projects that are piling up, I'll make roads to the other End portals.

All the portals go to the same place. Save your sanity and just do a road to the closest one. :)

Added two new Netherroad destinations yesterday:

1. Sandale
2. NWS Castle (Im calling it this until he makes a real name for it)

And PLEASE lets not continue building stuff in the nether void (rail etc). I know I am guilty of doing a big rail build but it was after that build that we discovered that it trashes the nether dynamap. Thanks

Dynamap issues, one of the two main reasons that the Netherroad even exists :p

If people still prefer the void rail to the road, then I'll get my butt to work later (as in, a week or two from now) and put some rails in. Maybe. But please.... just don't let the darn pigmen in the cart.

Also, won't be on much for the next few weeks. End of the year testing came up, I somehow got hooked on single player, and I still need to finish Final Fantasy :P
If something that I'm responsible for explodes in the time that I'm gone, send me a private message on here (forums). I'll be checking this more than my in-game mail.

"Night Castle" would work if you made a massive Obsidian dome over it so that it was night all of the time inside... Which would be AWESOME and earn you the illusive "Poster's Mad-Props" achievement.

EDIT: And before you say it, no. "Any block" WON'T do! Gotta be the O.B. (:mutters "s i d i a n" quickly: )!

Been thinking about moving the Netherroad hub to X: 0, Z: 0, Y: whatever it's currently at. (Forgive me, I'm writing this when I should be asleep)

Just makes it easier to hit /mvs every time instead of having to walk back. Anyone think it's a bad idea?

---Edit---
Also, SWfan's NoobTown (that it what I choose to call it until you think of a name) Netherroad is complete.
