Redstone block

I hope I'm posting this in the correct place. I did a search on the forums and failed, so; Are Redstone blocks broken, or restricted, or ?? I am unable to make them and it would make redstone circuits sooo much easier... And they look pretty sweet too.

Server isn't up to date yet. It takes time for the plugins for our server software to catch up. Sometimes it's a week, other times its a month. Also if you want to play on the server avoid updating your client untill the server is updated other wise you will be unable to login.

Redstone blocks will become available when 1.5 is released, which isn't released to the public yet. So that has to happen first, then the mod developers have to update their mods. Then TWiTCraft can be updated to 1.5. We're a ways out still.

Oh, okay. Thank you for clarifying that, I'm new to PC MC, I played on Android and Xbox, so I am used to waiting on updates.

Yeah...this thread had me panicking a little. Thought I missed an update! Typical update cycle is as follows. Minecraft proper gets test builds weekly > once in awhile minecraft proper gets an update > the bukkit team works to port their code and API to the new minecraft > plugin devs work to update their plugins to the new API > i spend an allnighter updating and testing everything to ensure safety and stability on a test copy of the server > server update is pushed live.
