Gregor did a lot of work today! It's looking great, but I did have to tweak the stands a bit. There's a point where the oval curves on the sides that is... Tricky. :/

There was a slight delay in construction because it appeared that I had not measured correctly. It turned out that I had messed up one of the rows by 2 blocks and threw the whole thing off (see? told you it was probably something I did, gregor!). Our next step will be to finish the outer ring, which will be mostly columns.

OK, I lied! I made a control room with a switch that controls the entryway on either side. I also began moving cobblestone chests into the admin area.

We're currently on hold until at least later this evening. Opusnut has sent me a few interesting screenshots and a copy of a proposed design that I'm liking quite a bit. I will tweak it some, get back with Opus, and then post the proposal here some time this week.

If we do go with this design, we're going to have to hit up Resource World's Nether for some quartz... A LOT of quartz...

We have come to an agreement on how to proceed. Opusnut will be finishing the outer ring and requesting supplies as needed. For now, we mainly need the following:

- Glowstone Blocks or Redstone Lamps
- Red and Blue Wool
- Netherbrick Fence

I started on the outer wall this evening. My plan is to get a quarter of the arena done, and then others can help rinse repeat if they wish. In the meantime, the old outer wall could be removed and a floor 4 deep installed all the way around of "Smooth" sandstone (must be smooth for bottom texture) from the last row of lapis seats (see example of what has been started). For now, material are doing ok, but glowstone blocks should be at the top of the "needed" list. I haven't looked though all the chests, but sand would also be good so we can cook down some glass.

Glowstone would be top priority. I found a double-chest full of glass blocks in my West Leoville house and we have a large amount of sand and glass in chests at the build site already. Will we need more? Probably, but it's far easier to come by than the glowstone.

The current plan is to have our grand opening some time at the end of April/beginning of May. If the site were off-limits, I would have a preliminary Open House announcement to get a preview of the build. Since the site is open with few-to-no restrictions at the moment, however, you are all welcome to swing by and take a look as we build. Just keep in mind that some of the areas are still under construction and will not appear the same way in the final product. For example, the control room is very basic at the moment and I would like to make the entrances to the event floor a bit more ornate. I plan to improve the design with Opus or anyone willing to take a look at it once we get past the main build phase.

The build *might* be delayed next week due to my business trip, but I'm very impressed with the amount of work we've completed in the course of a few days and I believe we will have the majority of the project finished only a month behind schedule (not bad considering the scope of the project and the fact that there has been a traffic accident, a change in jobs, a move to another city, random server updates, plenty of real-life distractions that other builders have experienced that I'm sure I'm forgetting, etc. ).

If you're willing to donate, there are open chests in the outer ring that you can dump them into at any time. I will be moving all of the above-ground chests to the underground storage area in the next day or two, which is accessible (until the dome is finished) via the control room lift sign located behind the door control switch on the wall.

If you wish to be paid for them, I'll need to finagle a time that both you and I can be online and negotiate a price.

Abigail - Gotcha. I plan to finish moving chests tonight, so you should be able to find an open chest this evening to use down in the Admin Office area (the aforementioned lift sign). I got called away by real-life last night and was too tired to get back on by the time I was free again.

Night - You're free to help whenever. The problem we seem to keep running into is that some jobs seem to work better when it's just 1 person doing them. If you ever show up and get bored, I apologize in advance.

As I mentioned above, I plan to log on tonight to finish moving chests and to work on some of the back wall. At this time, I believe we are OK supply-wise. We still need to finish leveling the East wall of the pit, but that is a fairly dangerous job due to the fact that the wall is completely underwater.

Got busy last night and only had time to finish moving the cobblestone chests underground. I will be on again tonight, but the next few days are going to be spotty. I have a feeling I'll probably have more time next week, oddly enough, because I'm going to be stuck in a hotel with nowhere to go.

We've finished the majority of the inner wall (what you see from the stands inside). Opus, greg, and I are probably going to have that done within the next couple of days. We'll then have to make a façade ("fakaide", for ipod ) on the outer wall to hide some of the mechanisms.

Here's the remainder of the to-do list as it currently stands with estimated completion times:

- Inner wall (late Saturday at the latest - We are very close to completion)
- Glass dome "supports" (Saturday/Sunday would be my guess)
- Ground-level wall construction w/Large Observation Windows (Early next week)
- Glass dome installation (Late next week)
- Main Entrance Excavation (4/14-4/20 - We need to carve a path from the entrance area to the D.O.T. Hub, create an area for the Skyrail Hub, and then decorate it all)
- Main Entrance Construction (4/21-4/24 - Once the entrance is excavated, it shouldn't take long to actually build the entrance as Opus already has the design planned out)
- Final Preparations/Inspections (4/24-5/3)
- Grand Opening (5/4)

Supplies Needed: As you can see, we're coming close to opening. I would like to hold a fireworks show in the Aquadome for the Grand Opening and I'm going to need fireworks/fireworks-crafting supplies. If you wish to donate/sell fireworks/supplies for this ceremony, please PM me here on the forum or send me a /mail message on the server. I will notify you all when I'm ready to start collecting.

im tyring to remember if i only took my sand blocks to the aquadome or if i have half a chest of glass blocks at my house still that i can drop off at the dome (need any panes? i have a few extra of those too)

again, no payment. especially since this double chest (that was half full fo sand thats now sandstone at the dome) is 1/2 full of glass blocks and panes made from the initial excavation for the dome
