[How To] Connect to the TWiTCraft IRC

Postby thesillychicken » 08 Aug 2013, 11:27

New IRC Connection Info: mc.twit.tv #twitcraft
Old IRC Info: irc.geekshed.net #twitcraft
If you know how to connect and register on an IRC server this guide isn't for you.

IRC Clients | XChat (Windows and Linux) | Colloquy (OS X and iOS) | Textual* (OS X) [Payed]

*I use this IRC client. I really like it.

When connecting to the TWiTCraft IRC server you will need to input this information into your client of choice. (Every client tends to have the same fields noted below)

Server: mc.twit.tv

Room: #twitcraft

Nickname: Your nickname goes here

Port: Leave this at what your irc client sets it too.

Now once you've done that you should get connected to the server.

Now to registering your nickname.

Registering your nickname is really easy just type this command in

/msg nickserv register PASSWORD EMAIL (optional)

and that's it.

Have multiple aliases? Like username_laptop. Here is how you can register them under your main name with the same password.

/nick NEWUSERNAME

/msg nickserv group TARGETUSERNAME YOURPASSWORD

You can connect via port at http://irc.lc/50.31.135.162/twitcraft (excuse the use of IP; there is a bug with irc.lc that resolves "mc.twit.tv" to "twit.tv")
