I bet beginners for minecraft are wondering, "How do I make an awesome building, but in survival?" Well, if you're wondering that, you're in the right place! Before we start, you might want to go on the minecraft wiki to find out what blocks are what and what do they do. Now, let's start. ]

First, start by gathering wood. Then, build a crafting table. Gather up lots and lots of wood, and craft them into planks. Make a stack of signs using sticks and wood planks. After you've crafted this stuff, it's time to build! Make sure you have a lot of wooden planks. Build you're building any shape you want, any make it out of wood planks. Make a ceiling, then start a new floor. Keep doing this process until you've reached 15 floors, and that's how high you're building s going to be. You obviously had to build stairs so you could make different floors, but we're getting rid of those. Make lift up signs (read about them on the forums if you don't know how to make them) for each floor. Then make it however you wish, and you've got yourself an awesome building!

Don't forget using netherrack to light the way and make your house visible for miles! Fun fact: A human eye can see a candle up to 26 miles away! Also make sure to mix up the wood between floors to make the build abstract.

A quick suggestion for new builders: Look around. Find other buildings you like, and then really LOOK at them.

*What changes the flatness of the walls? Window sills, or pillars, or the roof maybe?

*How many different colors do they use? How much of the main color?

*Look at the yard. Where do they have plants outside the building?

The more you look, the more ideas you'll get, and the better you'll build.

15 stories of a single material? No.
I'll just leave this here. This home requires about half an inventory of hardened clay and about one inventory for the rest. Single bedroom, living, kitchen, dining, fireplace and a bath with a nice balcony over the entry way. Has full basement. I can get one of these out in about a day. Larger homes take longer.
For the love of all that is good, please make your house look like.. I don't know.. a house! You don't have to go to this length, but build something with various materials, put some windows and a roof on it. Go from there! And please build 4-5 blocks away from the road at minimum and leave space around your neighbor!

After you acquire a style, why not experiment and find floor plans and designs that are appealing.

Uekitree gave great advice. Look at other people's builds, find elements you like and adapt them to your own builds.
You CAN build nice stuff. Just put thought and effort into it.

Ok so here is my way of building,

Look at the dyn map to find the nearest mesa, collect at least a haff of invertory FULL of clay then go into the wilderniss and find a place to start, Step 2 Make sure to find the nearest tree farm so you can collect the saplings. Use any kind you like, But spruce looks the best. Next go the the nether! get glowstone/Netherrack, Then smelt e NetherStone or by the netherstone at my shop in blazeville/oldleoville, Last step is to get glass and dyes, If you did want to dye your clay then get hardened if not just Start building. Then make any shape you want! Then put up 2 stories dont do that flat roof CRAP, Do the barn style roof. Hope you enjoyed this,

only problem with using the mesa is we have the resource world for mining the mesa biome. we try to keep the mesa looking as close to normal as possible.
