Ouch 1 month. . .wow. . .

Well I apologize to those i have offended.

For those who are curious as to my purpose: The wife needed more Lapis to build her Palace, i had not had time recently to keep up with her needs via my normal strip mining(darn that RL work!) so I x-rayed about 80 Lapis Blocks. Normally I wouldn't have bothered with the mod, but angry wife = unhappy home environment.

I wish you well on the server, as 1 month is too long for me to wait around.
It's kinda funny that the spammer/griefer/thief/and death threat kid got 2 weeks.
I guess my damage to the resource world was very serious.

Happy mining/building all!

In my opinion, I would have chosen a lower ban time. Even though Xraying is still bad, It's not as bad as griefing. I will not lower/remove the ban though, since I feel like that decision is up to Demon5. Just felt like stating my opinion.

There's a lot of people that play on this server. A lot of people who choose to put their valuable time, effort, and passion into the work they do. Regardless of your justification, it's unfair and disrespectful to those people for you to cheat. I can understand being short on free time, but I'm sure you'd agree with me that the free time your server-mates put into playing fairly is just as valuable as your own.

That being said, perhaps 1 month is a bit excessive. I'll shorten the ban to 2 weeks. Your actions have been rolled back. Hopefully in the next 2 weeks, you'll find a more efficient way to strip mine.

As I am the one who found the tunnel, I guess I feel that I should voice my opinion about this. Wonderflare, although I COMPLETELY understand the issues with time (I'm an adult with a job and a life too) and honestly, X-raying for lapis of all things is the least damaging possible crime I can think of, the main issue here is precedence. You are right that your actions damaged nothing and really (by themselves) aren't a big deal. However, so very many of us have sunk hours and days into mining normally to build our large and difficult projects. (I have a diamond tower of all things) X-raying is such a HORRIBLY BAD behavior to introduce into TWiTCraft (It would damage our economy and really ANGER a lot of players, especially if it became common) that the punishment for X-raying must be more extreme than your individual crime. We can't have it on TWiTCraft so the punishment must be so scary that no one will even try. We can rollback individual things like griefing and quickly repair areas but the social and economic damage X-raying has the potential to do, is impossible to easily remove.

Please don't let this stop you from coming back to TWiTCraft. We look forward to your return as long as you leave the X-raying mod in the trash can. ;)

Hey, Timber thanks for the post. Don't feel bad man, you're just lookin out for people doing stupid things. I would do the same honestly. I know better, and shouldn't have done it.
I wasn't thinking in server economy crashing terms, i literally just wanted to get her the last few Lapis for her project so it'd be over with.

Demon5 --Understood sir, thanks for your hard work on moderating, didn't mean to waste your time hunting me down.
I might be back in 2 weeks, if so I'll cya all then.

Happy Monday!

After following Wonderflare around for awhile, A lot of the mods can tell that he has been xraying. I have recorded him (video can be found here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7CItZ3fE0sY). Asim0v has said he took this screenshot while at his home, and found this http://i.imgur.com/uNFIWVq.jpg.

Not that anyone will believe me or care, but i have not been x-raying, but using a glitch that happens to me while mining that reveals parts of the map for a moment when i stand in it. Not sure how or why it happens but i used it to my advantage to get to minerals i could remember where i saw them.
An image of what happens is here http://i.imgur.com/iIh6KhS.jpg

I understand if you feel i unfairly exploited this glitch and feel i am still permanently banned.

As for the screenshot of my possessions I mine everything i have gotten with a fortune 3 pick and all I do is mine, I mine, and mine, and mine some more, loading up materials for my wife to build with. I do not ever build. As such, in the time i have been playing i have had time to acquire TONS of materials that are in all our chests if you care to look. Many of which are already in her structures. I have lots of things, not just diamonds. If you compare everything, the amount that i have is probably very relative to the amount i have mined of everything.

Here is an imgur album of me recreating the invisible block glitch (http://imgur.com/a/UTk38). In the first image, I am xraying though the world with the machine you see me build in images 2-4. I have hidden lapis in the wall, covered it with stone, and used the glowstone trick (Putting yourself into a glowstone block) to see through the world. As you can see, the lapis is not visible. And even if you could see it, taking advantage of a glitch to that extent is not acceptable.

Just to be clear, I wasn't using that stash of diamonds as evidence of any wrongdoing, just saying that we should keep an eye on you. That's a whole ton of diamonds there, 12,684 to be exact. Assuming they are mined with a Fortune 3 pick (and assuming a maximum yield per each ore, which is ridiculous), that's 3,171 diamond ore to produce that amount of diamonds.

I cannot speak for the other mods on the subject, but I believe actively using an in-game glitch that allows you to see through walls is tantamount to x-raying. Sure, you aren't using an invisible texture pack or a program to do it, but it's basically the same thing.
