It's not cool to build a private portal room and lock the signs that get you out
Portals are for public use
This portal linked to my portal which linked to the sky 5 portal room which has been in place for a very long time.

I don't think this portal linked to your portal, I set this portal to link to my ranch portal in the overworld by calculating the X/Z coordinates of the overworld portal and dividing by 8 and using that output as the coordinates for the portal location in the nether in order to ensure I didn't mess with anybody else's portal. I cannot be blamed for other nether portals that aren't properly linked.

The Lift signs were locked because they link to my private Nether Tram system.

It is my prerogative to keep my Nether Tram System private, they link to locations that I would like to remain private.

Regardless, if you wanted access to my portal room or you wanted it removed I wish you would have come to me and asked me about it instead of just destroying it and filling the room with netherack.

I'm saddened to see such a good neighbor go to this extreme to try and fix such a mundane issue.

You can, and I'm sure Vantes would appreciate it.

However, I'm going to keep this ban in place. You've been on the server a long time and I know you're a good guy, but this kind of behavior is unacceptable. If you had a problem with Vantes, you should have brought it up with him in a respectful manner, and if that didn't work out, you could have come to the mods about it. I look forward to your return to the server, and hope that when you do, it is with a cooler head.

I guess it was extream. It wasn't done out of malice I just didn't want a new portal to form in that room when the user went into his portal. I didn't know it was Vantes portal or I would have said something. I didn't destroy anything but the portal.
That portal caused my portal to link to it. How do you think I got in there?

It would have been cool if the sign's to get out of the room where not locked. it's not cool to portal into a locked room. and then you when you go back through the portal it's another locked room.
You can't make a private portal room. that's not how they work.

Hey Thornton, I've unlocked the signs and once you are unbanned I'd like to help get your Nether Portals linked up without my portals interfering, I'm sure the mods would be willing to help out too.
