I am filing an appeal on behalf of awesomedude11711's friend qwydion. This post will contain no opinions of my own, a separate post for that will be filed shortly.

qwydion states, "he was baned for no reson" and "not bad that hole was already there" and "he was baned for 2 weeks next fay said permanent" and finally "he promised he will not do anymore please unblock hims".

This is now my opinion on the matter of "awesomedude11711" griefing case occurring on 9/16/12 through 9/18/12.

I strongly agree with the Permanent Ban of "awesomedude11711", who was not conducting awesome behavior to my property during his griefing streak.

awesomedude demonstrated a very negative pattern of behavior while active on the TWiTCraft server, griefing multiple items over multiple properties in the TWiTCraft world.

Players with this type of character are not welcome to this server, I strongly urge Moderators to re-affirm awesomedude11711's ban.

The title of this thread was a mistake. Awesomedude11711 was indeed banned for 2 weeks, not permanently. Sorry for the confusion.

Now, in response to that hilarious third-party appeal, no. No, I will not shorten the ban.

Hey Demonfive, why was his house removed then? Rollback I'm guessing....hmm...I took over his land believing he was permabanned and removed all the remnants from his property and absorbed it into my lot.

I truly believed he was permabanned due to the title of this thread.

I will relinquish this plot but remain wary of living so close to this known griefer.

Sorry for the confusion. Sounds like his house was rolled back along with the damage he did to the property of others. Oh well, I guess next time he'll be more careful.

I had a long post but somehow it vanished. I found him trying to break into my vault. He pleaded to come in and I refused. That same day I found a lot of damage around my house (broken fences, a hole into one of my towers with the tree inside gone, my park was shredded, etc) After modreqing, it got fixed but I heard nothing. I only saw Leonimuz alter his ban length from two weeks to permanent. On the assumption it was him, I think it should be a permanent ban.

Neither I, you, or the rest of TWiTCraft should bear the burden of damage that this player's learning curve will create. His damage was widespread and Im sure that not all of it was found.

I know he is young and ignorant of how to behave on a server but that is only an explanation, not an excuse.

This is what happens when us mods don't communicate with each other. Apparently, I banned Awesomedude11711 for 2 weeks, for the reasons cited in the original post of this thread, which was giving the correct title of [2 Weeks]. Then, Leon did some more investigating and found that Awesomedude had caused far more damage than originally believed. From this new evidence, Leon concluded (IMO, correctly) that a 2-week ban was too lenient, and Awesomedude deserved a permanent ban instead. So he changed the ban time, and edited the title of this thread. However, since Leon did not post in the thread with an update, nor did he contact me directly, I thought I had simply made a mistake when writing the title of this thread, and changed it back, thus causing much confusion on behalf of myself and the valued players of TWiTcraft.

I respect and support Leon's decision to make the ban permanent, and I will now change the title of the thread back to [permanent]. I will be stepping back from this ban now, I personally will not be unbanning Awesomedude or responding to any appeals for him. Vantes, do whatever you'd like with his old area, I doubt he's coming back. Again, I sincerely apologize for all the confusion this kerfuffle has caused.
