What mods are used on TWiT?

Postby jaythedogg » 18 Dec 2013, 20:34

I don't know if this has been asked & answered before, but what mods are/were used in the old map?

I am starting a small server through HostHorde tomorrow with CraftBukkit & would like to set up an economy, protected regions, no spawn zones, etc. I like how TWiTCraft is set up, so who better to ask?

Thanks in advance!

This list is from 2012, so I am unsure what may be missing. I do recall for that for block moderation, they were transitioning from logblock to PRISM.

From this post,
Curley wrote:When i started the server I left the command for /plugins active but, and I don't know why, was warned by several players that I needed to disable it. As I was working on fixing a lot of overlooked things during that first week or so I turned it off and didn't think about it. Personally I have no problem listing the plugins used on this server, I use only plugins found freely available on the bukkit dev site and nothing is custom coded (the configs and interactions between them is all done by me though). If someone wants to start a wiki or something I can contribute where and when i can and even put it up on the main website for mc.twit.tv Here's the list:

bkcommonlib

CraftBook was dropped when we found a suitable replacement for the lift signs, basically the only part of CraftBook we used. If you remember the server being unplayable because of a bug with a plugin that caused 10,000+ mobs to be duplicated and stand around in one area, Craftbook was the culprit.

Now to understand how it all works. :/

Trying to learn, configure & just plain make plugins work is a real PAIN.

Guh.

Okay, so what I am trying to do, as TWiT was my first long term Minecraft "home", is mimic TWiT's features for the end user. Golden Hoe region protections, chest/door protections, sign lifts, etc.
Understand that I'm not being lazy, I'm reading, reading, reading, reading, reading, reading, reading, readingreadingreadingzrogn;zgn;zdfgzdgnlng;oarhao;rj;mvsritu!

I need an adult lol.

Having issues figuring it all out. If anyone can lend a hand in configuring, that would be pleasant.

Once I am all done configuring the server, protecting everything & setting up the anti-grief measures, I will expand from 10 players max, to 50 players and open up to the public.

Well, opening it up to the public, for now, it is only 10 players currently.

I would like some players to show up and try it out please.

PM me here, or post in this thread your experience. See if you notice anything that can use improving or fixing. (Aside from the spawn town, still a WIP).

Address:
Redacted - Vantes

I need a good URL redirect that will work with my Godaddy.com domain name. I cannot edit the DNS files to include the port, so I cannot redirect my url to the server. If anyone has any experience with this, please let me know.

Yes, here is what they emailed me:

You can avoid typing in a port number by creating a custom server address for free, using http://hosthorde.com/free-subdomain/, or by using your own domain name as your server address, with an SRV record: http://www.hosthorde.com/clients/knowle ... ecord.html

Joseph D.
HostHorde Support
www.hosthorde.com

Now my address is (still s33.hosthorde.com:25703) qcgrounds.hosthorde.net - I am waiting on the DNS to flush, but with an address & no port, I edited my SRV record to reflect this, I should be able to just use www.qcgrounds.com as my address. We will see.

Also, update, and I'm not trying to steal players/advertise people away, but my server is upgraded now to 2GB RAM and 50 player slots. The starter town in built, spawn is done & I am working on the store now. Griefprotection (though it is a pain IMHO) is active as well. I welcome anyone to stop by & critique my server & even stake a claim if they want. Maybe visit the other worlds, etc. I welcome any constructive criticism, after all, TWiT was my first MC multiplayer home & I respect the core group here.
