You asked for it, and now you have it. TWiTCraft world downloads are now available here or linked directly in this post if you prefer. As a reminder, these are prior to 1.7, so there will not be new biomes unless you venture into unexplored areas. And there were plugins used on the server that won't be available in single-player such as multiverse, lift signs, sign shop, and others. Thanks to Curley for getting these available.

To use these downloads in your local Windows installation of Minecraft:

1. Download or move the ".tgz" file (may be called an "Archive file") to your Minecraft's "saves" folder. You can find it by typing "%APPDATA%\.minecraft\saves" in the address bar of Explorer.
2. Extract the contents of the ".tgz" file using a tool such as 7-zip (free, safe)
3. Extraction will yield a ".tar" file of the same name. Repeat step 2 for this new file.
4. You should now have one or many folders for each world. Delete the .tar files (if desired, keep or delete the .tgz files also).
5. Open Minecraft and go to "Singleplayer". The world(s) you want should now be in the list.
6. Please enjoy

I'm going around a raiding chests for enchanted stuff.
Some many of you have chests full of nothing. We need to put that in the new rules.

Rule #20 No Empty chests.

@thornton77: There are rumors of a buried dwarven city in the south-east quadrant of the map. The dwemer are said to have settled in a cold climated area, deep underground. At night, a light may guide the way east of a telescope, south of a grand castle, north of a large red barn. Perhaps you will find what you seek

Edit: Whilst we're at it, does anybody else have anything hidden/private in the old map? We could get a scavenger/treasure hunt going.

Unless World Downloader has changed, it didn't record chest data unless you opened the chests.

If you open it with NBT editing software you can change the GameType in level.dat. Setting it to 1 will make it a creative world.
