To kick off our community events initiative, Curley has replaced TWiTCraft with a brand new temporary 1.7 server that is set to "Hard" with PVP on and amplified land generation enabled!

Since it is a vanilla server we have decided to keep the server whitelisted. If you are interested in playing and have been a member of the TWiTCraft community in good standing, reply to this post with your in game name to request whitelist.

Here I am, after a long 3 days of driving, sitting on a balcony in Fl, enjoying a beer, relaxing. I fire up MC on my laptop log in to Twitcraft to see all my stuff gone again..... Really, people can't leave other's things alone? I had a sign up and everything. Bed, chests, crafting table and oven gone. Even the door and sign were taken.

I feel your pain. Just logged in and found my place destroyed, with a sign saying "this is what happens when you don't guard your base". Why do we have a white list?

I don't know why we have a white list either. People just signing up for the forums are getting whitelisted. I said something about it in game and the response from Asimov was "I recognize 95% of the names". So apparently recognizing the name is all it takes to be considered 'trusted'.

bigmike's house was thrashed also has a taunting sign from the thief. I'd argue that this was the first really fancy looking house on the server. NightWorldSky's house has been gutted even of all its redstone mechanics for the fancy storage entrance. The enchanting table and bookshelves at spawn are also gone. I miss the sweet property protection of a modded server.

If you're anywhere near spawn, expect to get raided and griefed.

Somebody decided to destroy a bunch of stuff, took our enchanting table from spawn. We whitelisted too many peeps I guess, didn't think it would be a problem, but it was. Sorry guys.

Nobody that recently signed up on the forum was whitelisted, if they were they shouldn't have. We were whitelisting people that weren't actively banned and who had played on the server before, the list is hovering around 100 atm.

Anyway, it was meant to be up for only a week or so and since people are griefing maybe we should take it down sooner rather then later.

I don't mean to sound ungrateful, I enjoy my time on TWiTCraft, and appreciate all the Mods do. I know that there is not much that can be done with a vanilla server, but it irks me that the jerk who did it is here, lurking on this forum and laughing.

There was some mistaken communication about who was to get whitelisted. It was initially my understanding that as long as a player was in good standing (not banned), they were to be whitelisted. After Vantes did a culling of the whitelist, I decided to just sit the rest of it out. I don't PVP, there are no moderator tools, and I'm not interested in a temporary server. You'll see me back when New TWiTCraft launches.

It may not be fair but going by forum join date or post count may be best or players who can be vouched for by know good players. . That way it's not unknown people signing up just to join.

edit woops didn't read the last few posts oh well. I am sorry to hear about all the greifing. I would like to be given a chance on the next server if this one is dying, but a all vanilla server sounds sweet. best of luck on the problems y'all are having.

TWiTCraft is not normally an all-vanilla server. We use select plugins to enhance the experience and give tools to the moderators to keep the peace. This whitelisted vanilla server is temporary. The whitelist will go away just as soon as the official 1.7 server is up and running.
