That would be awesome if we could get it all cordinated and stuff. We could also try consle gaming like Xbox Live parties and stuff...? And I'm all up for TF2 or MineZ that would be awesome we could also try DayZ maybe but you would need a beast computer to run that game so probaly not..... :P

Stuff like build craft and industrial craft always looked fun to me. A lot of the stuff going on over at Yogscast looks like so much fun. Right now they are on a version of the server that is letting them build all sorts of cool bases and items. So far i have seen new biomes i have never seen, hats, airships and the goal of the series to land on the moon. I wanna build a moon base or even better yet something with other worlds to go to and build on. I made a mar simulation on this server and if i could go to the moon or mars ... wow, i wold be so stoked.

If interested, the server admin is ridgedog i believe.

We've done stuff with buildcraft and industrialcraft (mostly FTB and previously Tekkit), but for the most part it's all been private, because we don't really have any tools to moderate it well, and there's so many blocks that can cause problems. Public servers with that stuff are hard to run. Even with people we trust (for the most part) we still have lots of problems (usually by doing things that end up being too memory intensive).

We know the tools that are required to set that stuff up, it's more a problem of running it publicly. They have the benefit of running it for a company full of people that know each other well. Ridgedog is awesome, but I don't think we really need his help, plus he's a busy man, and to be honest he probably doesn't have time to help random servers set things up. (He helps out with the yogscast, and then there's the whole VoxelBox community, and whatever other work he does)

And yes, Galacticraft is really cool.

I still have enough entries in my database for a weekly game of trivia. Perhaps I can do these at a fixed time rather than spontaneously, for better player counts. These get real fun when there are diamond blocks and other crazy prizes added to the pot :) >>>

Vander's trivia games are super-fun - the multi-tasking element is great, and it's quite cool to have something "to do" when in the middle of a more tedious build or project, like building a big wall or just digging for lots of sand.

More trivia yeah! :)

Well hello fellow guildmember (although you wouldn't know it because it's been ages since I've logged in).

I'm sad I've become so inactive, because when I was active it was awesome.

(being one of the guild officers was also fun, until those server merges ruined that, but I wasn't that active by the time that happened so I'm not too bitter, being forced to change my character names didn't help)

In a way, I hope the new server doesn't go online until I get back from New Orleans on Jan. 1. I'd hate to miss out on a good plot because I can't get on. :-(

Oh well. Guess I'll have to deal with it if it happens.

I'm merely speculating - I have absolutely NO inside knowledge since I haven't even opened Minecraft on my home PC for a little over a week and I only just opened Mumble to see if anyone was on, which they were not. :)

Yeah. Mumble has been quiet the last couple weeks. I've been so lonely... ;-)

It's not going to quite that soon. We are close however. Some of us are quite time constrained right now, so it's probably not the fastest it could be. Pretty much all the plugins and things we need are running. We've already placed spawn in the map, and blended it with the surroundings, the new lobby is done and ready to go (except 4 portals that still need the exact location, it also hasn't been moved to the lobby world yet, but that's a quick process). The biggest things that need finishing are placing the other 4 town centers, and finishing them. 3 of them are already progressing well, and the fourth one, if we do the idea we thought would consist mostly of old leoville buildings, so that one might come together rather quickly. None of them are that big anyways, so hopefully it doesn't take too long. We're probably going to end up moving those in their current basic state into the world before finishing them, just so we can maybe integrate more of the surrounding landscapes.

Beyond that, there's some basic region setup we have to do for each town, and I'm not sure how far we're going with an official rail system, so depending on that being just a rail that always brings you out to the edge of where things have been built, or also having rails between towns, that could vary. Some of that could maybe happen after we go live. I'm also not sure where we are with twitmart stuff, but that might be a thing that's held off too. There's probably a lot of little things I'm forgetting, but we're working through all of it. There's some stuff on Curley's end that I think still need to be done, but I think he's waiting until we have the world set up, because it's quite a bit of work.

Anyways, I'm not going to put a very precise timeline on this, because it's hard to say with some of our schedules currently, and I don't want to say any sort of time that doesn't happen.

That was maybe more of a progress report than I planned to give and more detailed than I planned, so I guess enjoy it, that's pretty much all of it.
