Mod meeting during the night

Postby Timberwolf1777 » 23 Sep 2013, 01:06

A number of our moderators met during the night. I personally saw SnowSchu, DemonFive, Ipodparf, BlenderMF, and vantes logged into the server simultaneously and can assume that there were maybe even more mods in the meeting also (T2t2?). As there was no griefer crisis or anything else major going on, I can only assume that the meeting was about either our desire for better mod communication or the current discussion regarding the future of TWiTCraft.

Thank You!

I know that I am often excessively blunt, vocal, assertive, aggressive, and therefore often cause drama on TWiTCraft (aka as Cheeetozz said, "a dick") but I will not hesitate to take the opportunity to say, "Thank You," as a personal statement and, I believe, also a statement from the whole of the TWiTCraft community.

I love TWiTCraft and its community passionately (There is no other server I will really play on) which is part of why I act the way I do. I appreciate your effort in working toward the good of the server and know that your time is valuable. Thank You again for taking your time to meet. It meant a lot to see you all online.

I was unable to attend due to work, but I can confirm that there is daily communication between the mods that isn't in-game or in Mumble. Just because you don't see us talking doesn't mean we aren't.

We assume that you guys do of course communicate outside of in-game chat and mumble but you would be amazed at how much player morale is affected by the mods' occasional presence. Just seeing that many & variety of the mods logged into twitcraft when there wasn't some immediate crisis to be fixed was a very nice feeling.

Isn't there a semi-immediate crisis? Judging by the amount of forum posts and arguments going on, I would say there is a crisis.

Not immediate like the withers destroying things in survival, or a system griefer as that was.

This is a sort of crisis, but until now, we haven't seen it as regarded as such by anyone but the general players. If it is being seen as a crisis now, perhaps we have made our point?

1.7 isn't bearing down on us like an express train or anything, but the drama was escalating.. yes, drama, but understandable - doubt, concern, worry, anxiousness... The fact that all our discussions weren't achieving anything except division because we had no information - that was becoming critical. Good to see that we are making some progress now.. maybe?

Mind you, its still as I write 139 views, 2 replies to my Founding Fathers thread.

Someone said to me last night... "2 is probably all you will get.. the rest wont reply"
That makes me sad.

I know you're sad about that thread, but trust me, we've been talking quite a bit the last two days(after your post and that other one), and you will hear from us pretty soon (not in that thread). Also when I say we, that's pretty much every mod (even ones people may think don't care anymore). There are reasons, ones that didn't exist when you made the post as to why you will probably only get 2 responses. We know how little movement there's been in discussion, and we're doing something about it.

Also asim0v is right, there is sort of a semi-crisis going on. But I also agree that it's nice when more of us are on, but realistically that's not going to happen a lot just because of when a lot of us are available.
