Lost my Rei's Minimap resolved

Hi.. I did something ... and I don't know what I did, but I lost my minimap. I haven't updated, or changed anything... I am thinking it might be a keystroke that toggled it off, or it has gone invisible, but M doesn't bring up the menu... Its was still there in the minecraft folder.

I have tried re-installing it, but it still doesnt come onto my screen.

Any other suggestions? is there a keystroke to toggle it on/off?

Before I resort to completely uninstalling minecraft and the other mods, would be grateful to hear any other ideas.

Sis you update one of the other mods? (There is an Optifine update that came through the other day)??

Try the following: Go to your Minecraft folder (e.g. %APPDATA%\.minecraft ), look for the "mods" folder, then rename the "rei_minimap" folder to something else (e.g. "reifix"). After doing so, run Minecraft and login to a server or single player world.

This will force the mod to generate new configuration, potentially re-showing the minimap. This process should keep your waypoints, but if they are missing copy any "waypoint" files from the renamed folder to the newly created folder.

Nope, didn't do anything... I even deleted and reinstalled minimap... still no sign of it on the screen though the files are there.

I feel sure I did something to either make it invisible or toggle it off... but extensive searching on google help groups don't answer...

Last resort when I have the energy is to re-install minecraft from scratch and reinstall my texture pack and my minimap and optifine again... sigh

One more thing to try; perhaps the "profile" on the Launcher was accidentally changed from your "modded" Minecraft to "normal" Minecraft? (e.g. http://i.imgur.com/aEKAfV3.png )

Thanks VanDer but I checked that too.... its still my modded version, and nothing showing... its a puzzle.

I did a sort of angry typefest on the keyboard the other day... and something tells me I did some sort of combination of keystrokes that pulled the map off screen.... no knowing what it was now... serves me right.

VanDer's suggestion and your reinstall should have fixed this, but under mods\rei_minimap there is a option.txt file and the first line should be "Minimap: Enable"

Failing that, you could assign a key to "Toggle Enable" in the keyconfig.txt
