Thanks to PosterAnonymous for the gift. I hope you guys do more giveaways like that. It was a lot of fun! :D

Edit: Well, that was short-lived. I disconnected while on my horse in Leoville. When I reconnected, my horse was gone. :( Looks like this happened to someone else as well. Others helped get it out of the spawn moat.

geo131313 contributed as well!

Yes, do not log off while on your horse! Best case scenario: Someone will come along and steal it because horses you're riding don't despawn when you log off. :(

Ugh. I really hate that. I figured it was like a minecart where you spawn back onto it. Oh well....lesson learned!

It is like a minecart - If absolutely no one touches it and it doesn't get moved on its own, it will be there when you log back in. Unfortunately, it's a mob (and a popular one at that) so it's highly unlikely it will stay in the exact same position even if someone doesn't steal it.

BTW, I believe the mods are discussing ways to use tags to ID horses. Translation: If another player steals a horse, they would be able to find who originally owned it and know that it was not you. Any would-be horse thieves would be wise to avoid this practice if they wish to continue playing on this server. Just a word of warning... ;)

Keep an eye on the forum for the next horse give away - It will most likely be announced this weekend and it will involve registering on the forum and a bit of participation. It will be another scavenger hunt, with a bit more difficulty. :)

The plugin being discussed is "stables" look for it on bukkit dev. I'd like to see how vanilla horsies shake out first before jumping to a plugin solution. Also I'm waiting to see what bukkit does as they get closer to a beta build.

Cool! Hopefully we will have good, honest players who won't resort to crime... :)
