Change Log - bukkit 1.2.5r2.0

Postby Curley » 18 May 2012, 08:04

soooo yey!

As some of you know I've updated bukkit and our plugins to its newest recommened build
notes from the team can be found here http://forums.bukkit.org/threads/craftbukkit-1-2-5-r2-0-is-now-available.76187/

I just wanted note a couple things and known issues, as well as create a forums space where you guys can post any issues you, will undoubtedly, find.

new things:
-bukkit supposedly cray cray stress tested this RB to ensure they fixed a high cpu usage issue. so there's not really many new features
-besides this one! bukkit now has built in controls for limit mobs per area. (something sorely needed as that was causing our occaisional tick lag causing slow mob and tnt reactions) Now i left the config file alone with bukkits recommended values so let me know how this feels and we'll make adjustments as needed.

Known bugs:
-looks like nospawneggs is not allowing me to ignoreworlds anymore so the pvp world pit frenzy won't function till they update it
-there's a big jline issue with terminals that is being bugtracked that is spitting poo all over my console. I'm aware that affects no one but me but i felt like complaining to someone ^_^

So that's it. play, enjoy, tell me how things are feeling here or in game and please do report any findings. kthxbai!

I get what it says, but what were you trying to say? :) "cray cray"? Ribbit? :)

But if it says that then you did configure it! Or did you mean to add sage quotes from Leo?

Just a heads up, it's been mentioned and I don't know if this is an intentional change or not, but /plugins isn't enabled for mortals.

<tangent> Also /region removemember still needs to be added for us too please. :) </tangent>

Yeah, plugins used to work :)

Also, if this is the wish list, why is /region info not showing who has the region if the owner isn't you? Ie, is there a good reason to keep this secret?

It may be just me, I think monster spawn has been turned down to nearly nonexistant, perhaps linked to that limiting mob entity in a certain area thing. A couple other people have mentioned it too, though they've chalked it down to luck, but the more I spelunk and/or just wander around Survival regular world, the more I think I notice it. Going around dark deserts at night (near, but not quite at civilization) or spelunking underground, you barely see any mobs around anymore. Sure there are a couple sometimes but they're like in groups of 1 or maybe 2 at most instead of the 4+ that used to spawn. Even ElfQueen's Hunting Grounds is a shadow of its former self because things just.. don't seem to spawn there in decently-sized groups anymore. :P
