Wow. No wonder diet coke was being peevish toward me and the iron farm. I had no idea that people were pushing the iron farm use to such extremes. And I thought that just running a second acct on my 2nd monitor while I was playing the first was bad. AFK Macros? Leaving it running all night and day? wow. sounds like people were really desperate for coins

If I remember right the person who had the macro was banned for X-raying Lapis and maybe diamonds. It might have been two different users but I don't think so. I will have to see if I can find the thread. It was a few months ago, way before any of us had grinders.
Edit it was Wonderflare, well and his alt.
Thread on iron grinder back in feb

And his ban thread for xraying lapis and a ton of diamonds.

In a way I guess he was kind of banned for a variety if things.

Re: April Town Hall
I'll be putting up a sell sign for iron as well. Like Dragon, i have a iron heavy project in the works and need quite a bit.
As for the "starve to death" argument, that would not work since it could be circumvented with a beacon set to regeneration.
I think a mixture of private sell signs and possibly a similarly low priced Twitmart one would quash the interest in spending all that time to make a small (very small) profit.... hopefully.

Re: April Town Hall
My fault for saying "iSell" instead of "Sell". Sorry for confusing the conversation further... Us self-made men of riches get so easily confused with how the little people make their fractions of coins... That's why I pay people to manage my money! Cheers! :raises champagne glass:
The iron grinders were built on the regular survival map if I understand correctly. That means your health would dwindle to 1/2 heart and then stop. If you're in an area free of hostile mobs, you'd be OK for as long as you were connected.
I must say: I'm glad to see the free market is swooping in to resolve the issue of excess iron in the system! Yay capitalism!
