Twitcraft price list (Mini)
This is my twit-craft Excel sheet I use to set prices at my shop.
http://sdrv.ms/YKNrEu
I went a round to shops since June now and then and documented Product prince units and came up with a price per item list to normalize it and help be set prices.
I think anyone can edit this and save it in this location
it's kind of messy and the "my shop" tab pulls data from the static AVJ price list
the averages updating in a pivot table.

This is great. Can you add prices from the 3 shops at Freon's Trade Center at the Airfield, too? Some prices are cheaper out there than anywhere near spawn.

This is a great job and something I've been saying we needed for a while now. Let us know if you need assistance keeping it up-to-date.

Re: Twitcraft price list (Mini)
I've created a little script that picks up data from shop signs while I travel around.
Here's the output from last night: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc ... sp=sharing
The format is:
* Direction — First line of the sign, "Buy" if the shop is selling, "Sell" if the shop is buying.
* Status — "Open" if the shop is stocked/has space, "Closed" if the shop is not stocked/has no space, "Inactive" if the shop sign exists, but isn't linked to a chest.
* Item name — The item itself, not normalized to actual game block/item name.
* Quantity — Quantity sold/purchased. Guesstimate, mostly determined for patterns like "1 Item Name" or "Item Name 1x", 0 if the script was unable to determine the quantity.
* Price — Price as advertised.
* Price per item — Formula in the spreadsheet.
* X, Y, Z — Location of the sign.
* Original sign text — Just in case guesswork failed miserably.
I would very much appreciate feedback on this and any additions / fixes to the collected data.

Well, since I'm banned for ten minutes, I'll take the time to reply:
I like this. It's good for setting up a shop and shopping. The automation gives me a huge volume of data to use at one. My main recommendation is editing out the various characters people use to make arrows or other decoration, like ----->

Re: Twitcraft price list (Mini)
i'll be using this to tweak my own prices, gj guys. its a good way to keep the prices level so everyone can get steady business, less of that "but i can get this for less coins over there so im never buying that thing here again"
"Cakes to Dye for" is BACK . . . [west of main spawn]

Buyers should keep in mind that differences in prices can reflect circumstances such as selling a Silk Touch I pick in the Nether. I think that in situations like that, it makes sense for the item to be a bit more pricey.
Sorry, I just like the idea of price competition overall.

yeah, the location, conveinence and context and such would affect the price. but if i was going glowstone mining and i didnt already bring a silk touch pick i almost deserve to pay extra for one i buy in the nether

Precisely why "Poster's House of Pick and Gambling Emporium" will be the most awesomely over-priced store that side of the Nether portals.
