Creeper nuked me inside Outworld Spawn. DANGER
This is a warning for all players untill a mod gets on to address the issue. Right after I used /mvs to return to spawn in the outworld, a creeper waltzed in and nuked the place.... and shutdown the portal back to leoville. So if you (like me) have a /home in outworld, do not use it. Do not go to the outworld. You, like me, will be stuck in the outworld. Only a mod will be able to reignite the portal. Until that time, the outworld is a no return trip without a /home in the normal survival world.
Which brings up an idea that had been tossed around before: Maybe we could have two creatable tp locations like both a /sethome & /home and a /setwork & /work so that even if something like this happens again, it doesn't stop all movement across worlds. This whole being stuck thing is pretty terrible. Anyway, just food for thought. Thx for reading.
P.S. @ 7:30AM PST Just had another thought about this too: when making a shop anywhere other than home (like secondary shops in sky5, airfield trade center, mirage etc), linking signs to the primary inventory chests can be a time consuming nightmare. With a /work location available, actually crating a secondary shop would be relatively straightforward. This would definitely help shop owners to build more than one shop and get more commercial locations available around the map. Again ... just food for thought.

I agree, not for the outlands part, but I have a spot I am working on far away from my /home that would be nice to have a tp to, like a /work. Nice idea.

i agree whole hearted. i was just on and i saw that you were stuck. i think that a /work /home would be awesome.

With /suicide disabled linking signs for my other stores is a pain. I actually created a deep hole in my storage location to die. I would love to have a second tp location. I would take that maybe over star gate portals.

I agree with having a second/third/etc tp location. Plus a /warp to the lobby.

I removed /suicide due to kids using it to spam themselves dying in what seemed some silly way to receive attention. Wasn't aware you guys were using it as a work around to having more teleports.
I'll bring up the more /homes with the other mods. I've expressed my opinions on it many times but if there's this much of a census on it I don't want my personal bias to ruin the best decisions for you guys to have the most fun on the server.
I fixed the spawn of outworld land btw. if you haven't noticed yet. Creepers gonna creep ^_^.

Sometimes people would do it just to spam. When I used it to set up shops I tried to use it when little to no people were around to spam less and if some one was bothered I would just stop.

I assume there's spawn protection at the outworld land portal entrance but I'm guessing spawn protection doesn't extend to portal blocks? Was only the portal nuked? Would flint and steal re-establish it?

I know, I just thought creepers couldn't damaged the 33x33 protected spawn area and I was intellectually curious how the portal was actually nuked, but I'm wrong. From minecraft wiki: http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Spawn
Creepers can still destroy terrain in the protected area and TNT placed outside of the protected area will destroy surrounding blocks as usual. Along with this, portals from the nether can connect to the protected area, water/lava/fire can spread from outside into the protected area, and pistons can push items inside as well

We have the spawn area protection turned off due to our spawn areas not being natural world spawns. We use multiverse to manage the worlds and spawns and worldguard to lock regions. The spawn area for outworld land is protected from player interaction but its still susceptible to creepers cause I never set the flags to block Mob damage.

So .... creeper nuked DefMunkey and the spawn area and portal just now. Asim0v is cleaning it up.
