It was randomly decided that there should be more difficulty associated with the resource world. It's not that hard. If you don't run over the lava part, it's not too bad.

Well not everyone has those. This should have been talked about and not just done randomly. Not everyone is the same maybe easy for some but hard for others sorry i don't agree.

In timbers shop (due east of Outland portal) he sells them for a few coins. I agree its a bit odd and if you dont have good armor it can be a bit risky.

If enough people complain we'll change it. Other people wanted it too though.

[EDIT]

I must have missed that post about it. to me i don't think its fair. not everyone on the server has 90% of the market and setup on every corner and can afford to lose things. I guess I will just mine from the current world and not use the resource world for what it was for. If this is the case we should not even do star gates as that is going to make things easy as well.

There's a lift to the left of the exit now. So go ahead and use it.

there was just a lot of people on during the reset and they decided to turn the outside of the spawn point into something fun. Its these dynamic things that make minecraft great. The parkour stuff was made well after everyone that wanted a chance at the dragon had their fare shot and it had been killed. I don't see it being much of a big deal and love seeing people come together to do silly things like that.

So would it have been ok if i made a door to bypass or would this be a grief? I could not even get close to killing some dragon due to i'm not good at jumping across stuff and when there is lava below and you have ice to jump on it causes an issue. not sure who else feels like loosing there stuff just for fun. Knowing there are rules i didn't want to open a door that would cause me to get a ban.

With the regions there, I don't think you could have done that.

It's probably best to have a "Chicken Exit" for me and others who don't want to go through the gauntlet every week (or at least make sure people don't die from failing it). Tho it was a lot of fun watching you guys set it up. :)

Ok sorry i read what i typed and I was not there for the dragon I am not even close to attempting to try and kill it. I'm there to use it for mats. There are other items that the current world cant provide that are much harder to find than the dragon. Sorry I even brought this up.
