LEOVILLE PLOTS!!!
I am happy to say that we will be opening up the plots for sale. Please read the entire post as we will explain the process as clearly as possible and it will hopefully prevent any confusion.
Rules:
Timeline Before March 1st:
TWiTcrafters will have until Saturday the 23rd to submit their name to the form. After the 23rd, we will then have a closed door lottery and randomly shuffle the players that submitted plot requests. We will go down the randomized list and mark the plot selections that players chose. If a plot has been taken by another player, we will move to their second plot choice and so on. If all three plots are taken we will contact the person, with the new list of available plots. The time between setting up your plot and March 1st will be free time given; it will take us some time to add everyone to their regions. On March 1st, your first month’s rent will be due.
Requesting Plots after the Lottery:
On March 1st, we will start allowing other players who did not get a plot to request one. You can make a modreq with the plot you want and a mod will set it up for you as soon as possible.
If you have any questions regarding plots, please post them as a comment below.
If you would like a leoville plot please fill out this form. Here is a map of the plots
Rules:
- $2000 buy-in payment.
- $1500 a month rent
- Mathematically speaking, that is $3500 for the first month’s rent.
- Users can only have one plot each, even if they create alt accounts.
- Rent is paid on the 1st of each month
- If one month goes unpaid, you will lose your lot and will be moved to "somewhere else"
- Buildings can be built from bedrock up, keep in mind we want the Leoville city to look nice - so please no dirt houses or derpy buildings. If buildings are offensive we can remove them immediately.
- Plots are different sizes you can build on the half-slabs or as far as the region will allow.
- Chests and signs cause lag, please dont build a storage structures.

he wants to buy one outright and not a base price with lottery
Re: LEOVILLE PLOTS!!!
for those working on designs for the release of the lots, will the build space be only the smoothstone or will we be able to build on the half slab border also?

Plots are different sizes you can build on the half-slabs or as far as the region will allow.
Does that also mean our lots will be region protected automatically?
Can roofs extend out one block past (like most other cities in game)?
Who are we paying and what are the funds going towards?
Are we able to make stores or are these personal lots only? (all my sale chests are far from spawn)

Your region will be made for you, and you can build on the half-slabs. One you leave you region you will be in Leoville, so you can't build. It is sort of self policing.

Sorry just to the half-slabs.

It will work just like the twitmart, anything you give it will be destroyed. This will help to keep money from inflating too high.

Yes, just like how some of the mods chose to make their homes into stores. Although you cannot have a store, and want a second plot for a home. One plot per person.

There was a lot of discussion about this. At the moment there is no set hight limit. If multibple buildings get too high and ugly we will decide the limit, let people have enough time to rebuild, and set the rule. If people would like a guideline, 132 is the hight of the clock tower. 132 is a good number to hover around.

Re: LEOVILLE PLOTS!!!
Curley, Chad: Its not a want for outright purchase. Its just how my work is. Shortly, I will already have been gone for a month on a job, unable to log into TwitCraft. A required rent system every month just does not work for me and my life. Thats just how it is. Enjoy the Leoville lots everyone!

Re: LEOVILLE PLOTS!!!
With the ability of Lots could the station be placed under DOT control so that I could remake it and maintain it Since Chad is too busy with twit to maintain it. I would love for it to be free since DOT is a non profit charity.
Re: LEOVILLE PLOTS!!!
I suggest removing D1 from the options for the plots, also may want to contact those who have put d1 as an option as it is no longer available, going instead (deservedly so) to Vantes

Yeah this is true. There is also a bunch of mod lots that have been taken for a while on that map (and two new ones from me{B13} and vantes). If you submitted for a lot you should probably just check on the server to make sure they haven't been taken and if they have, get chad to change your choice (there is only two new taken plots though, so most people should be fine).

Re: LEOVILLE PLOTS!!!
I updated the form so that D1 and B13 are not on the list. There are about 4 people who had D1 as their first plot. They all have a second pick.

:wonders how long it'll take vantes to build a n00b apartment complex close to spawn:

I'm good for now. With the creation of the tunnel, my West Leoville house is close enough to spawn that I don't feel inconvenienced walking to it.

Re: LEOVILLE PLOTS!!!
yes, the tunnel makes it even faster to get to my hosue there too. and with the rent being 1500 a month, its just a little too much that i was guessing about that drove me to buy the w leo house in the first place.
but i am glad you guys are moving forward and making the plots ready to go now

Re: LEOVILLE PLOTS!!!
So after so much anticipation and build up towards Leoville plots, I was supper excited to start building tonight. I had spent a week working out a building design that would fit my lot, specifically chosen as my first choice for the size and location on a corner. Imagine my surprise when i arrived to start building and found 5 blocks knocked off of the width. Now granted, i had asked earlier in the evening to have five blocks added the length, my assumption being that no one would care seeing as the plot was already mine, and the extra space i wanted was only a few blocks between the plot and a river. Not much if anything would have ever been put there, so i didn't see the harm in asking.
Now i have since come to hear through the grapevine that a few complaints had arisen concerning the same associated costs with the different size lots, and that it was unfair some were larger than others. However that was laid out in Chad's initial post and at the town hall. The lots were different sizes and that had been done to add variety and choice for different builds and needs. We all had plenty of time to choose our preferred lots and we also all knew going in that they would be awarded by lottery. I don't mean this to sound like a rant coming from the victor, but the fact is, i did get an early number (3) and got my first choice lot. I think i (we all) deserve to get the lots as advertised when we signed up.
I was not around nor was I involved in any discussion that had taken place this evening on this topic. So i am not sure of the specifics of the matter nor what may have or have not been decided since. But with some of the lots at half the size of others, is it really realistic to try and conform them all to similar sizes?
Having said all that, not that this should be needed, but I would be willing to pay a larger initial fee for the larger size lot. I wont be pulling in any more income off the lot than my store will bring in and most likely operate at a loss. I just have a very cool building in mind that no longer fits and frankly, at this point if i cant build it as designed, i am not sure i want the lot anymore.
Hopefully I'll wake up tomorrow and read that my mad rantings were all in vain and this had all been solved already... here's wishing... I'm not one to complain, but this one kinda got under my skin a little...
*soapbox relinquished*
Good night everyone, shows over... remember to tip your waitresses....
