signshop [Slot] function still borked
Need it for the shop. Just tested it. still doesnt work. Heres a possibly related link to this type of issue:

hmm, not sure what you're talking about. Never knew signshop had a slot sign. Was it working at some point and then stopped?

Yes Curley, thanks for asking. It used to work and then sometime around september (which seems to coincide with the signshop update to version 2) the [Slot] function stopped working. I asked a couple peeps about it (mods, players) but no one knew anything and I left the server for a couple months shortly thereafter so never pursued it till now.

Ok gotcha. I took a look over the sign shop config and perm nodes l, there's only 1 mention of slots in the language file but no where in config or permissions. It may have been removed as I can't seem to enable anything. Is it just flat out not working or is there an error being given. If its removed from sign shop I'm sure we can find another plugin to do slots. How are they supposed to function so I can look around. We prolly can get d5 to whip up seething magic in CH.

The action of the [Slot] sign was to randomly give any 1 item out of the chest's inventory when a player hits the sign and pays the stated amount. Kinda like a gambling box: Pay $ to get 1 random item. As far as the bucket dev site is concerned, it should be supported & operational in the current version of signshop. This discrepancy is why I looked it up and added the link for another server admin having a similar issue with [Slot] signs in my first post on the subject:

This is exactly what happens to me when i try to make a [Slot] sign on twitcraft: (Quoted and slightly modified from the above link)
1. I am making a sign with the top line being [Slot] leaving all other lines blank for a free slot or filling out the bottom with a price.
2. I then take redstone hit the chest, it says it stored it.
3. Then I hit the sign, and it says it stored the sign..... When I click the sign it doesn't say it needs to be linked, it just says that it has been stored....
It says the sign is stored when i hit it with redstone ... no blue [Slot] ... no chest linkage .... nothin
