Minecraft on Windows 8

I just downloaded and installed Windows 8 and I went to play Minecraft, only to find the message, "Bad video card drivers! Minecraft cannot start because it failed to find accelerated open GL mode" Is this unique to my computer or is it just not possible to play Minecraft on Windows 8? Do I just need to download some drivers?

update your drivers. windows probably installed it's own generic drivers for your card. grab the newest ones from the manufacterers website

I can confirm Minecraft runs fine on Windows 8, but yes the default drivers from Microsoft are lacking. Hit up www.nvidia.com or www.ati.com, and get the latest drivers.
