City Names Nomination
As discussed in today's Town Hall, we would like to get together a list of the most popular names for the cities. Eureka has already been decided, but the rest of the towns are in need of an official name.
Post your name suggestion below, and after about a week, a poll will go up with the three most popular names for each city.
My suggestions are:
Main spawn: NeoLeoville
Sci-Fi: Argon City
Medieval: Grey Fort
Old Leoville: Old Leoville
Also: Post your name suggestion even if it has already been listed. We need to know what to use in the poll.

Re: City Names Nomination
Main spawn: Central (or Central City, but I prefer simply "Central")
Sci-Fi: Argon City
Medieval: Stone Keep (as suggested by linuxwitch on Mumble) or "Stonekeep" (my personal preference of formatting)
Old Leoville: maybe "Vintageville"?

Re: City Names Nomination
Main Spawn = Leoville (classic but good)
Sci-Fi = is "City on the edge of Tomorrow" too long?
Medieval = could be "Winterfell" if it was in a snow region
Old-Leoville = Memory Lane

Re: City Names Nomination
Honestly, I'm not wild about Sci-Fi being called "Argon City." It's ok, but I'd prefer something like Mainframe City (ReBoot ftw!) or something TRON related. From the medieval town, I like Storm's End.

Re: City Names Nomination
but Argon City is a very noble name for the city (for those that missed the town hall), and to be proper it would be "They Ciiity of Tomorrrrrrooooooooow!" (not voting for TCOT unless the long version can fit)
Mainspawn: Neo Leo
old leoville: old leoville
medival: Ye Olde Hamlet
Mainspawn: Neo Leo
old leoville: old leoville
medival: Ye Olde Hamlet
"Cakes to Dye for" is BACK . . . [west of main spawn]
We have many kinds of food, pies, all dyes and cake. No lie!

Re: City Names Nomination
Main Spawn: Neo Leoville (I like the ville at the end)
SciFi: I was going to suggest Silica City to tie into the desert biome, but Mainframe is good.
Old Leoville: Having two Leovilles invites confusion. I say re-dub it Twitsburgh!

Re: City Names Nomination
Hello everyone! I've been working a ton so haven't been around much, but I do miss you guys and hope to get my Minecraft time back soon! And of course I wanted to put my two cents' worth in to this Very Important Topic, as Helicologo reminded me I should, so here are my suggestions:
Main Spawn: I'm going to flip this around and say Twitsburgh, since this is now the central point of the new TWiTCraft map (plus it just sounds cool!)
Sci-Fi: Okay, I'm still biased - but I, too, vote Argon City! (Which, by the way asim0v, is indeed from Tron!
)
Medieval: Stonekeep or maybe Shadowkeep, since it's kind of mysterious up there?
Old Leoville: Leoville. Keep it simple.
By the way -- I'm so geeked you guys chose Eureka!!

The only TRONs that count are the original TRON movie and TRON: Legacy.

Re: City Names Nomination
There would be a certain irony if Argon City was chosen since there are only two inhabited homes there that I know of, and neither of the residents care for that name. Of course there is also Stallmart and Minions automated netherwart amaze-o farm and accidental shop, I don't mean to discount those but we haven't heard form minion yet so the statement is thusly limited. Also, Rage... Circuit City? *groan*
Re: City Names Nomination
I love, love, love Twitburg for the central city. It rings.
Just an idea for sci-fi: Deckard City. (2 points if you catch the easy reference here)
I say leave Old Leoville as Leoville.
I'm clueless when it comes to the medieval town. Sorry.
That's my 2 c.

I've just been calling the main spawn city "Central" as a bit of a nod to Fullmetal Alchemist

Re: City Names Nomination
I like dragons suggestions, I think they suit the towns well. But shouldn't we get two names for each town and then vote on them on one of those voting threads?
Re: City Names Nomination
Argon City sounds like some place I should go for welding supplies (argon is used as an inert shielding gas for various electric arc welding processes, e.g. TIG, or when MIG welding aluminum).

Re: Argon City...
Okay, okay!
Just for fun, this is why I'd suggested it in the first place (given the TWiTcraft desert city's remote location, cool design, and sci-fi ambiance...)
From the TRON Wiki:
"Argon City was a city located in a far off corner on the Grid in TRON: Uprising. It had many elaborately designed buildings and one of the most sophisticated public transportation systems on the Grid, more so even than Tron City. The Light Rail system allows programs to easily travel around the city."
So there.
