Okay. I haven't been on the server for a while. I'm afraid that I am now an outsider. As I have said a while ago; I would like to create a town of my own.
That is one of my problems; I feel as if the good Mods have created towns that can't be competed with. I feel as if I will fail due to lack of materials. Another thing I wish to address is my lack of involving myself with the community. I believe and would be very honored to be part of the town hall. Just food for thought. Have a nice day, mates!

There is nothing stopping you from making a town just because there are multiple official ones now. The purpose of the new towns is to help spread the population around the map instead of everyone building around the central city. But the official towns have certain restrictions such as region size and not being able to build shops within 100 blocks of the region. These restrictions wouldn't exist in a player-made town, so there's definitely the possibility for it to thrive.

As someone that made a town on the previous iteration of the world, I can tell you from experience that it's an enormous time investment between gathering resources, planning, building, and maintaining a town. My advise is to find a couple of partners to help share the responsibility. A great way to get players to move in is to offer amenities such as multiple farms, all colors of sheep, livestock, and a shopping area.

Perfect, thanks. I have such people in mind, and I hope they would be willing to help. Also, I could use some resources, but otherwise I think I would be doing that by myself anyway. Okay, See you guys on sometime, then.

You say this like its invite only to the town halls. its not. all you have to do is be free when we do the town halls and join us on mumble. as for your talks on the town thing i wish you luck in building that town and i will suggest you make a town that is like half way between two of the spawns. and for the feeling like an outsider what would help with that is GET ON SHUT UP AND PLAY!

yeah, build something somewhere and tell others about it, ask for help, then they can make their own things and attract players to the area.

thats how i joined a town on the old map. i wanted to help with a build and the glass dome house i built myself in the area is my favorite solo build.

so just build somewhere and tell others where and people could trickle in.
