Flea Market 2.0
Hello everyone and welcome to the new and improved Flea Market, "NOW WITH LESS LAG".
I know some people have been excited about building shops in the Flea Market over the last month or so of construction. With that in mind, we will be doing a lottery as was done with the Leoville lots for selecting locations. Submit a PM to me on the forums with your name and top 8 selected lots. Yes 8. Unlike Leoville, I feel that people will be drawn to specific lots located on the edges so they are best seen, IMO. Use the number that is located on the top line of the sign on the lot. Deadline for this will be at the start of the Townhall (4-20-13 9pm EDT).
Changes to Flea Market Rules - There have been changes to the rules to ensure that the lag monster doesn't come back and kill our lovely commerce dump that is the Flea Market. Yes, I know it's a dump and that's why it's still FREE. I know it's not a rule change, but with others charging small fees to have shops in other areas, I feel this is important to mention.
STORAGE - The BIGGEST change is storage. There can be NO storage at the Flea Market other than the Appleton Apartments and Brownstone Townhomes (more on these later). No donate chests, no temp storage chests, nothing. This is 100% because of the lag that was previously experienced at the Flea Market. Everyone will need to link them to their home storage or somewhere else.
DIMENSIONS - With the removal of the storage that was previously above the Flea Market lots, this has made way for more space to have taller shops. The new height restriction is 12. This allows you to build all the way to the snow ceiling. The flooring has been changed from 8x8 to 7x7 for uniformity and because of my OCD. Lots on the Appleton Apartments side of the Flea Market as you can see have larger floor dimensions (20x7), however they have a height restriction of only 4.
ITEM FRAMES - Item frames are not allowed.
Appleton Apartments - Are completely furnished apartments close to spawn for less than what a month in Leoville will cost you. The Appleton Apartments are located at the Flea Market and are only $1499. Contact me in game for a tour of the apartments. Appleton Apartments are not for everyone. If you have been on the plank of shame for any reason, you will not be eligible for Appleton Apartments.
Brownstone Townhomes - Located just east of the Flea Market and across from Jelly Bean Park. Are designed to fit 3-5 players living in them with storage. Please contact me in game for pricing, furnishings or a tour.
