Re: Episode 4
I think having to purchase the stargates would be the best option. Not only does it simplify the process, it may also help to stimulate the economy. The only issue I can think of is if too many people buy stargates and it takes forever to scroll through the locations.
Re: Episode 4
Yes but I still think it should have some qualifiers such as, has the infrastructure to support a town of x(such as 15 plots) be a project of at least 2 active people. This application process would limit the number of stargates also, as far as money cost, I have mixed feelings about that as it may cause some "mayors" to have to dramatically increase or establish rent.asim0v wrote:I think having to purchase the stargates would be the best option. You assume that the goal is to make the money back for the person paying for the stargate. I'd be grateful to have a city with people wanting to be in it. In game money doesn't have much function and I'd like to just see people have a good time and have more options to join in the various communities around Twitcraft.

Well I did say some may, I definately know that it is not the goal of alot of folks to make money on things like that, but any city that was/is made should follow under the first two points of my application process. The only thing I can think of that would limit people on the application process is it being a project of only one person, but I don't think that'd be too much of a problem.

Re: Episode 4
maybe if a city buys a Stargate before reaching town status but then reaches town status the mods would feel that it be ok to refund the cost of the Stargate since the town status gives you a Stargate as a bonus

Re: Episode 4
I think that's appropriate sprocks. The cost should just be used as a deterrant against frivolous stargate requests. if your 500 away from spawn, you don't need a stargate, you need a rail line.
the mods don't want to have to deal with those kind of requests all the time, and you should lose money for being annoying lol
