Sky5 Brainstorming!

Hey everyone! I started this thread because I want to get the community's input for the future of Sky5. I want Sky5 to be a community with a say rather than a city dictated by one or two people. What do you want added to the city? What do you want changed? Are there rules you would like changed? Anything at all. This is just brainstorming, so there are no bad ideas. I'll update this first post with ideas as they are posted.

Sky5 Brainstorm Ideas!
  • Larger lots for sale
  • Faster travel around Sky5 (rail, new pathways, etc.)
  • Direction signs to open lots
  • Sight seeing rail (circumference of the city)
  • ¡Viva la Revolución!
  • Direction signs

Maybe larger lots that could be for sale. Like a Sky5 mansion section.

i more like the idea if them being mixed into the normal lots, for variety (constrained by the lots im talking about that current structures might not allow this to happen).

i am not a current resisdent, but when the projects i am currently in are calming down i want to build something there. and reinvigorated interest in sky5 (i saw some out of stock stores with the owner being there 6 months ago) would encourage me to pay for a commercial shop so i can get one in more areas of the map.

I am currently working on plans to revitalize the commercial district.

Maybe a rail at Sky5 level that circles the perimeter with a stop at the heart of the commercial district. Sky5 is small enough that it really only needs to run either clockwise or counterclockwise.

Alternatively, a path about 10 blocks under Sky5 to make it easier to get from one side to the other with signs leading new people to open lots.

what about just a sight seeing rail that goes around the perimeter, so the rider can get a good view of the houses people made in the district?

it might be a little luxurious to have a rail line just to look at things and not really go anywhere(a circle and end where you start), but its a suggestion

Faster access around the city is something that has been suggested for quite a while. Pretty sure I know how I will implement it. I'll get started tonight or tomorrow (since I'm off work the next 2 days).

I think a signpost when you first arrive from one of the lifts and while walking around town would be nice. I got lost trying to find a few things the first couple of times I was on.

I am hesitant to recommend rails just because I know that minecarts contribute to lag. Perhaps a raised path/roadway?

Rails are happening. Has to be below the city though. Signs are a good idea, and something I've been meaning to do forever.

pointing to shopping or residental area would be nice. trying to find A shop at all, nevermind an actively stocked one was difficult. empty lots were easy

There is a major overhaul of the commercial district coming soon that will make finding active shops easier. I won't say anything more than that though.
