resource world

Postby Curley » 27 Sep 2012, 10:49

just a thought, as the survival world gets more and more used up we're eventually going to deplete all the viable placed to mine and the ones that are left are going to be hard to find. I was thinking we could have a world that is maybe 1k by 1k and resets to a new seed once a week for people to fart around in and bring resources back to survival.

Yeah, it will probably be awhile before that needs to happen, but if we do need to I'm up for this. Prob should make the end not accessible, but keep the nether there (for glowstone harvesting).

I think allowing The End to be accessible would solve the "should we reset The End" problem. We could keep The End in Survival around, so people don't have to lose their grinders and whatnot, but The End in the Resource World would be reset along with the world, allowing users who want a chance to kill the Dragon to do so.

For the record, I'm in full support of this, and suggested it even in the planning stages before TWiTcraft launched. Our friends at FinalScoreMC have recently chosen to take a similar approach. (http://finalscoremc.com/2012/08/outworlds/)

Yeah, that would work. Should the end reset with the world, or would it be every 15 min or so?

I would say to reset it along with the world. No need for extra plugins.

I like this idea, considering all i do these days is mining... Is there a better way than the limited space in your inventory to ferry resources between worlds?
