ban on things like minechat
i dont know if there is a ban on things like minechat and clients like it but i feel like they should not be allowed as they are afk machines at the very least.

Re: ban on things like minechat
i had an arguement with a kid because minechat isnt listed in the rules as not acceptable. and he said he will keep using it until it is added in the rules. i told him i was trying to help him not get banned.

I thought mods for minecraft were not allowed unless explicitly allowed by a moderator?

mods are ok... as long as they don't give you an unfair advantage. so things like optifine, rei's minimap, zyn's hub those are all acceptable. but things like x-ray mods are not.

May want to ask Vantes to update the rules and add it somewhere. When I reformatted the rules (and subsequently rewrote a lot of it), the goal was to simplify them. We had large sections spelling out exactly what was and wasn't allowed. In the end, it was a whack-a-mole game trying to cover everything. That's why I went a little vague on areas that were specifically enumerated previously.

As asim0v said, the rules are technically vague. However, I feel that the whole "these are the mods that are acceptable" section along with the "Don’t circumvent the afk timer" rule kind of closes the book on whether it is or isn't acceptable. Otherwise, you'd have someone say "I'm not using MineChat, I'm using ChatMine" as an excuse to knowingly skirt the rules.
